Terms of Service

Last updated: February 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RepSpec ("the Service"), operated by MC Connected LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RepSpec is a specification and quoting tool for architectural lighting projects. The Service generates bills of materials, wiring diagrams, fixture schedules, and project documentation based on user-provided project parameters and our product database.

3. Important Technical Assumptions & Disclaimers

All specifications, wiring diagrams, and circuit calculations generated by RepSpec are based on the following default assumptions unless otherwise specified:

  • Voltage: 120V AC, 60Hz (standard US residential/commercial)
  • Circuit capacity: 20-amp branch circuits
  • Wire gauge and derating: Per NEC standard assumptions for the above parameters

These outputs are intended as planning aids only. They do not constitute engineered drawings or licensed electrical designs.

It is the sole responsibility of the user and their licensed electrical engineer or contractor to verify all specifications, ensure compliance with local electrical codes (NEC, local amendments), and confirm suitability for the specific installation environment. RepSpec does not guarantee accuracy for non-standard voltage systems (e.g., 277V, 240V, international standards) unless explicitly configured.

4. No Professional Engineering Advice

The Service does not provide professional engineering, electrical design, or architectural advice. Outputs are tools to assist qualified professionals and should not be used as a substitute for professional judgment. We are not liable for any decisions made based on information provided by the Service.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate project information
  • Have all outputs reviewed by a qualified licensed professional before implementation
  • Not rely solely on RepSpec outputs for life-safety or code-compliance decisions
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes

6. Intellectual Property

Product data, specifications, and pricing within RepSpec are sourced from manufacturers and remain the property of their respective owners. Project documents you create using the Service are yours. The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of MC Connected LLC.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MC Connected LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
